For an increased political participation of the Fifth Switzerland

Just about two months before the 2023 federal elections, the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA), SwissCommunity, dedicated today's press conference in St. Gallen to the topic of the political participation of the Fifth Switzerland. Benedikt van Spyk, State Secretary of the Canton of St. Gallen, and OSA President Filippo Lombardi were delighted with the authorisation granted yesterday by the Federal Council for e-voting trials in this autumn's elections and stressed the importance of e-voting for the Swiss Abroad. They pleaded for more political participation for Swiss citizens abroad. The OSA also presented for the first time its report on other ways to increase the political participation of the Fifth Switzerland.
